The Taraba state third Executive Governor, Darius Ishaku has appreciated the people of the state for the confidence they have in him and his Deputy.
In his inaugural speech in Jalingo shortly after he was sworn-in,Governor Ishaku said the massive votes he received during the last polls was a testimony to the fact that Tarabans love him.
The Governor solicited for maximum support and cooperation from the people of the state to enable him succeed. He said his administration would harness tourism and natural potentialsof the state and that attention would also be given to education, health, water supply and roads.
Darius Ishaku also promised to re-position the civil service to make it more productive. He expressed concern on the poor financial standing of the state and said revamping the state was a collective responsibility for all Tarabans.
Earlier in a valedictory speech, the former Acting Governor,Sani Danladi who thanked Tarabans for electing Darius Ishakuas Governor, appealed to them to support his administration.
He urged the new Governor to explore new sources of revenue for the state, considering its financial predicament.
