I was very happy when I heard on the news that the Tiv community in the state has paid a courtesy visit on Governor Darius Ishaku. I was doubly happy when I learnt that the Governor was personally in Takum to broker peace between the Kuteps and the Tivs.

This is a good move because the Tivs have shown initiative by visiting the Governor, and he too has shown good leadership style by initiating a lasting peace between the two ethnic groups.

For ages, they have co-existed peacefully and so have no reason for unending conflict which only destroys and does not build. Let all other warring factions in the state learn from the peace initiatives of the Kuteps and Tivs, as well as the magnanimity of the Governor.
