His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has reiterated his commitment towards ensuring the provision of good road network across the state.
The Governor who was speaking to Journalists in Jalingo Taraba State Capital shortly after inspecting some roads within the metropolis, said his administration would start with the Jalingo township roads to raise the standard of the state capital.
Ishaku who was mindful of the lean financial resources of the state Government, explained that he would carry out the township roads project in phases to make every part of the state capital accessible.
Governor Ishaku assured that the project would be contracted to a more competent construction firm to guarantee quality work.
He particularly mentioned provision of infrastructure, health care delivery, education, peaceful coexistence among the various communities in the state among others as his administration’s cardinal objectives for effective development in Taraba State.
Ishaku underscored the importance of peace, emphasized that no society develops in an atmosphere of ramcour, acrimony and social upheavals, hence his resolve to achieve permanent peace for the attainment of sustainable development.
He appealed to the people of the state for understanding and to continue to remain proactive and supportive to his administration’s ideals for progress and development.
