The rescue mission of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has started yielding fruits in the state.
Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity Sylvanus Giwa made this known
while speaking with journalists in Jalingo.
He said the visit of the Governor to Kashimbilla Project site has demonstrated his readiness to rescue
Tarabans from epileptic power supply. He said as part of the Governor’s rescue mission, Governor Darius
personally released the sum of eight and a half million naira to Taraba State Water Supply Agency to
repair the broken pipes and reactivate boreholes.
He said this has brought relief to Tarabans who were buying water from hawkers at exorbitant rates. Giwa also said thirty million naira was given to Yola Distribution Company which necessitated the increase from two megawatts to eighteen megawatts of electricity supply to the state.
He said the recent Memorandum of Understanding MOU, singed between the state government and Bank of Industry, BoI, of seven hundred million naira facility is aimed at empowering Tarabans through entrepreneurship.
