Taraba State Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku and his counterpart from Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong have promised to work together to curb the incessant violent clashes along the borders of the two states.

The governors made the promise at the Jalingo Airport while addressing journalists on the visit of the Plateau state Governor to Taraba state. On arrival of the Plateau state Governor Lalong at the Jalingo Airport, Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku led other top functionaries in the state to receive him.

Speaking on the visit, the Governors said apart from attending the 20th Anniversary of Arch Bishop of Jos Catholic Diocese, Bishop Ignatius Kaigama in Kona, the Governors will meet to close ranks and seek ways of curtailing security challenges along the border lines of the two states.

They affirmed that the two states have things in common in term of natural resources, but persistent violent crisis has hindered their developments.
