7 Inmates Granted Pardon by Gov. Darius Ishaku.

Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has approved the discharge of Seven inmates across the State in the Spirit of New Year.

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Hassan Mijinyawa says his decision was based on the recommendation of the state advisory committee on prerogative of mercy and the power conferred on him by Section 212 Subsection one of the 1999 Constitutions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Those that were pardoned are Toryima Aka’a -Wukari prison, Sarki Azetu – Serti prison, Amos Akila and Elisha Emmanuel – Jalingo prison.

Others are Abubakar Mohammed, Beki Usman and Ahangba also from  Wukari prison.
