Taraba State Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku says God has a purpose for making him the governor of the state. He stated this during a church service at the Jesus Glorious Army Jalingo. The governor said he abandoned politics in the year 2003 when he contested for Senatorship and lost because he looked at politics as a game of deceit.
Ishaku maintained that when he was chosen to be the governorship candidate from the Southern Zone, he knew it was the will of God to continue in politics and to serve the people of the state.
The governor assured the Youth and Women of Empowerment through the Skill Acquisition Center which he would start with the women this week. He said his administration would engage investors that would give job to the youths. He solicited for prayers for him to succeed and fulfill his promises.
In his sermon, Reverend Ben Ubeh admonished Christians to reflect on God’s wonderful deeds in sustaining the state and the nation through its challenges.
Ubeh said any Christian who embraced the culture of thanksgiving and praise will attract God’s divine protection and blessing at all times adding that life without Christ is full of Crises. The Clergyman called on Governor Darius Ishaku to drop those who would retard the progress of his administration and asked God for divine wisdom to succeed.
Ben Ubeh called on Christians to uphold the governor in prayers for him to bring development and job creation in the state.
In conclusion, Prayers were offered for the governor’s family and the cabinet.
