In his efforts to woo investors to the state, Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku visited Irish Ambassador in Abuja.

Speaking to journalists after a close door meeting with the Ambassador, Governor Ishaku revealed that their discussion centered on the agricultural sector with emphasis on Rice, Sugar cane, Cassava and Animal rearing.

The Governor emphasised that the discussion also focuses on how the state government would partner with foreign investors on the mining of the abundant minerals in the state.

He also stated that he had gained more knowledge from the Irish Ambassador on how to create ranches for cattle rearing, adding that if such ranches are put in place, they would curb misunderstanding between farmers and herdsmen in the state.

He further promised to create more peaceful environment to attract more foreign investors.
Commenting, the Irish Ambassador, Sean Hoy said he would visit Taraba to take a look at some resources on the need for partnership.
