Wife of Taraba state Governor, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku has appreciated the turn up of the Northern Governors’ wives to a forum she hosted.
Anna Ishaku gave the appreciation during the Maiden Governors’ Wives Forum which took place at the TY Danjuma Lodge Asokoro Abuja, on Tuesday.
The wife of the Governor stated that the forum gave them the opportunity to appreciate one another and discuss the challenges in their various states, stressing that the forum was aimed at complementing the efforts of their husbands to deliver good governance to the electorate.
She further emphasized that security was a collective responsibility of the government and the public, thereby urging them to be wary of suspicious character around them.
In her remarks, the Chairperson of the Forum, wife of Zamfara State Governor, Asmau Abubakar Yari urged the Northern Governors’ wives to support their spouses in the discharge of their responsibilities to meet the yearnings of the people who voted them into power.
At the end of the meeting, the Forum resolved to produce jingles in English, Hausa and other languages to deliver the message to the populace.
It also resolved that community and women leaders would be included in sensitizing the youths on the dangers of drug addiction and other related vices in primary and post-primary schools.
Thirteen Northern Governors’ wives attended the Forum while one was represented.
