Taraba State Governor Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku has reaffirmed his determination to spread development to the rural areas of the State in line with his rescue mission.
Governor Darius Ishaku said this recently during a Sunday service at the Christian Reformed Church in Nigeria CRCN, Local Church Council, Abuja.
He said “development should not be centered in theurban areas but should cut across so that the dividends of democracy should be felt by all the electorates even at the most remote part of the state”.
Darius Ishaku lamented that Ndola people of Kurmi Local Government Area have been isolated for long, pointing out that the area has been existing in the state without any form of social amenitieswhich he mentioned to include health care services, schools, water and electricity.
He maintained that the focus of his administration will ensure that all the nooks and crannies of the state are carried along in his rescue agenda and solicited for sincere and honest support for the State to make progress.
Earlier in his sermon to the congregation, the Chairman of CRCN Abuja Reverend Timothy Damisacharged Christians to be steadfast for the coming of Jesus Christ so as not to be caught unprepared when he returns.
The clergy who quoted variously from the portions of the Holy Bible titled his sermon, ”Contending for the faith with the faith’, stressing that, no matter how celebrated one is in life without God in all that surrounds him, God’s protection will elude him when he needs it most.
The chairman encouraged Christians to be firm in serving the Lord and He will in turn take charge of all their challenges and as well save them from total damnation on last day, asserting that Christ is the only surest way to salvation.
