The Taraba state Governor, Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku has commiserated with the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Taraba State Chapter over the passing on of two of her members, Shawulu Auta of Taraba Television Corporation and Charles Agellah of the Nigerian Standard Newspapers.
In a release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor, Hassan Mijinyawa stated that, death is a necessary end for every living mortal, adding that the state government received the news of the demise of both Shawulu Auta and Charles Agellah with shock considering the interval between the two.
Also contained in the release is that the Taraba state Government will continue to remember the outstanding contributions of the two journalists in the upliftment of their profession standard as well as their positive contribution to the sustainable growth and development of the state.
The Governor enjoined people of the state not to be dampened by the demise of the two gentlemen but pray for the repose of their souls, charging the Union not to relent in her quest for effective and genuine reportage of government activities in the state and also enlighten the populace on the rescue mission of the present administration.
The release further prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and the Union to accept the heartfelt sympathy of the State Government.
