Wife of Taraba State Governor, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku  has tasked groups on the need for collaboration in a way that one group can easily relate with the other.

Barr. AnnaBarr. Ishaku  disclosed this yesterday during a courtesy visit to her office by Taraba Women in Politics, Mambilla Progressive Cultural Association (MAPCA) and the One On One Enlightenment Forum.

In her remarks, Her Excellency who thanked the various groups for coming to show solidarity to her office expressed the need for building one another as the groups were not there by coincidence but to complement and assist each other.

While acknowledging the support women have put into the campaign of the Rescue Mission, she called for more understanding and prayers for her husband the Governor, stating that what matters most for any government is sustainability.

She also admonished women to be  open minded concerning elective positions because they too have what it takes to succeed in politics.

She further stressed agriculture as a key area to invest in adding that aside from the natural beauty of the state, she has observed that the state is rich with good soil.

Earlier, Mrs. Christy Adamu, who spoke on behalf of the Taraba Women in Politics expressed the group’s heartfelt appreciation to her Excellency and revealed that the purpose of the visit was to identify with her as she stands as their frontier in the political sphere, adding that they were willing to support her  in all possible ways even with their sanitation programme held once every month.

WomenIn the same vein, the Mambilla Progressive Cultural Association alongside the Kaka Community of Sardauna Local Government Area’s spokesperson, Mrs. Selina Nangbon, expressed their sincere gratitude to His Excellency the Executive Governor of Taraba state, for considering the improvement of the production and manufacturing of Tea in the area.

She stated that it has afforded most of their women, children, husbands and a host of other relatives gainful employment. They finally presented traditional items to the Governor’s Wife, willing her to become part of the women of  Sardauna Local Government Area.

Also the spokesperson,One On One Enlightenment Youth Forum,Musa Salihu highlighted that their core value of peace is something the state needs concerning killings in some parts of the state.

The group listed the problem of drug abuse stating that 45% of the offenders are youths, stressing that they will not relent in the fight against drug abuse as it is a part of the Rescue Mission.
