He stressed the need for the people of the state to be conscious of their environment and report suspicious persons around them.

The Governor expressed sadness over the attacks that took place at Bali, Gashaka, Donga, Ibi and Kurmi Local Government Areas as well as the communal clashes in karim Lamido and Lau considering them a  breach of security. He however expressed happiness that the situation has been brought under control.

The State Governor found it ridiculous that people who have coexisted for such a long time could pick up arms over a fishpond that was created by God to maim and kill one another over what they did nothing to bring to existence.

He also lamented  the loss of lives which included women and innocent children and pleaded with the parties involved to lay down their arms and create room for resolving the conflicts amicably, while  warning that whoever  is found wanting will be severely dealt with.

Governor Darius Ishaku used the occasion to call on people of the state to tolerate one another by imbibing the attitude of peaceful coexistence and work collectively for the development and progress of the state.

Accordingly, the Governor stated that the task ahead is enormous and the expectations from the people are numerous, while the resources to carry out such expectations are meager coupled with the hostile environment created by the inability to coexist peacefully.

Governor Darius Ishaku who painted an ugly picture of one of the schools he saw in Karim Lamido during the 2015 electioneering campaigns of wards studying under three branches of trees with grasses all around them said such situation is no longer acceptable in the state and asserted that the best educational legacies must be bequeathed to the children of the state.

He used the opportunity to inform the Chairman and members of the Taraba Produce and Marketing Agency TAPMA, to buckle up because there is a lot to be done by the Agency in the marketing of produce of the greenhouse farm which he said is the first of its kind in the whole of North east with specialty in vegetable farming which will soon be made available.

The governor maintained that the Agency must be innovative and viable at all times so that it would be able to market produce from the greenhouse and  buy grains for storage to make profit for the State as well as  serve the State during  emergency.
