Taraba State House of Assembly has unanimously elected Mark Useni Bako of Takum 2 constituency as the new Speaker of the House.
The majority leader of the House Joseph Albasu Kunini nominated the Speaker and was seconded by Josiah John Aji of Wukari 2 constituency.
The Clerk of the House Ismailu Ukwen Tentason after reading the judgement of the Appeal Court, Abuja declared the seat of the Speaker vacant which led to the election of a new Speaker.
The new Speaker, Mark Useni took the oath of office before other members after the election promising to abide by the constitution of the country.
The Speaker appreciated his colleagues for the confidence they reposed in him and promised to maintain the cordial relationship between the executive and the legislature.
He said the task before the house was to handle the budget which Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku presented before the House and promised that justice would be done.
Mark Useni thanked the media for their effort in promoting the activities of the house.
