PDP state congress election is presently taking place with voting from delegates from the 16 LGA’s in the state.
The occasion has the Executive Governor of Taraba state, Arc Darius Ishaku in attendance, in addition to his deputy, Hon Haruna Manu, Senators, members of the House of Representatives and state House of Assembly; Members of the state EXCO, politicians as well as delegates from the 16 LGA’s of the state.
Chairman of the Party, Victor Bala Kona made the opening speech, followed by Senator, representing Taraba south in the National Assembly, Emmanuel Bwacha, senator, representing Taraba north in the National Assembly, Sani Abubakar Danladi, popularly known as contact to contact, as well as Senator Bashir Marafa, who abdicated his position to APC’s Yusuf Abubakar Yusuf, for the Taraba central senatorial zone.
Representative of the PDP national EXCO, Emmanuel Ikpirikpo gave a goodwill message where he assured the party supporters that PDP would bounce back in 2019. He enjoined them to support the incoming EXCO. Meanwhile, Hon Joseph Albasu Kunini, representing Lau state constituency in the Taraba House of Assembly moved the motion for the dissolution of the state EXCO, while Hon Hosea Ibbi, representing Takum 2 in the same assembly seconded the motion.
