Dr. Dashe who commended the laudable project  of the wife of the Governor, stated that the outreach  has greatly  alleviated the suffering of the common man in Taraba. He stressed that if such programmes could get the support of the State government and well meaning citizens, it will go a long way in assisting the common man to access medical care.

The medical director further advised that for subsequent outreaches, provision be made for adequate accommodation for both personnel and patients as well as more personnels to avoid overworking those on ground.

He also urged the beneficiaries to appreciate God for giving the Governor’s wife , who is passionate about the plight of Tarabans, the wisdom to initiate projects that help to better their lives. He pointed out that if these treatments were conducted in hospitals, most of them would not afford it.

Also speaking, one of the medical personnels  on ground, Mr. Benjamin Suleiman Tswapski, stated that the team had attended to over two thousand patients with each having about two or three ailments, hence it can be concluded that the team had exceeded its target of treating 5000 patients.

He  stressed that a surprisingly high percentage of people were diagnosed with high  sugar level, these and some other medical conditions have been referred to Tertiary Health Care Centres for comprehensive care, adding that the team also discovered  a large number of deteriorated eye conditions especially among children.

Also speaking, the community leader, Mr. Istifanus Gagare expressed gratitude to God for the project held in his community, stressing that Her Excellency has saved a lot of lives through the programme as many sick people could not assess medical help due to exorbitant charges at Health Care Centers.
