Taraba State Government has rolled out programme of events for the celebrations of this year’s Democracy day and one year anniversary of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.
According to the programme, the celebrations will start tomorrow Friday with the foundation laying ceremony of the greater Jalingo primary water source project at the project site River Lamurde Saminaka at nine o’clock in the morning.
There will be commissioning of 33kv power line to Magami Water works and sanitation vehicles and other equipment all at Magami Water Board.
Also tomorrow Friday, there will be Jumma’at prayers at the Government House Mosque at half past one in the afternoon, while the commissioning of the Jolly Nyame and palace ways is slated at 3pm including the inspection of the on going Magami road project, Green House, TTV and TSBS at Malum and mile six respectively.
The day will close with a media briefing by His Excellency the Executive Governor at Seven Pm.
And on Saturday, the commissioning of resuscitated VIVA feed mill Zing and Rural Electrification project Yakoko, Kakulu and Monkin comes up at 9 am at Zing and at the three electrification projects sites.
Presentation of fish smoke house/Rice thrashers to beneficiaries, brief science and Technology exhibition, laptops Lottery for Taraba State University students is scheduled for three pm at the GYM hall of the Jolly Nyame Staduim.
Also at the GYM hall Jolly Nyame stadium there will be presentation of Taraba State Strategic Development plan, DDI score card at 6 pm and at 6:30 pm there will be anniversary dinner at the same venue.
The commissioning of street light at Donga and Danbaba roads is slated for 7 pm.
Finally on Sunday 29th/5/2016, the Governor’s state broadcast comes up at nine o’clock in the morning, to be rounded up with the first anniversary Democracy Day thanks giving service and prayers for Taraba State and the Nation.
All Government functionaries are expected to be at the venues of the events thirty minutes before the commencement time.
