As the present administration in the state clocks one year in office on the 29th May 2016, some of the ministries have enumerated the level of infrastructural development achieved by the Governor Darius administration  within this short period.

Taravoices correspondent visited the Ministry Of Works and Transport and Ministry of Health respectively.

There is no doubt that the number of roads constructed in the state capital within this one year has placed the Darius Dickson’s regime ahead of previous administrations.

The Magami road, palace way, kona road, Bali-Serti and some other  roads in the metropolis were constructed under the rescue mantra of the state Governor,  Darius Dickson Ishaku. This was disclosed by  the commissioner of Works and Transport, Doctor Tafarki Agbadu Eneme, in his office in Jalingo.

He said the street lights along Donga road and Danbaba street areas were fixed by the present administration, saying more areas are on the list for the provision of the street lights.

The Commissioner stressed that a revenue of fifteen million naira has been generated with the commencement of operations at the Airport in Jalingo, pointing out that going to Abuja from Jalingo is no longer stressful.

He also said the provision of drainage is one of the measures taken by the government through the leadership of Architect Darius Ishaku to help control flood in the state, revealing that drainages have been constructed in Takum, Kona area, ministry of works area and some places within the metropolis.

He disclosed that some roads will soon be commissioned in the state capital, emphasizing that Donga-Mararaba and Abong roads are next on the list of projects to be constructed.

Also, taravoices correspondent visited the state ministry of Health where the Commissioner,  Doctor Innocent Vakkai scored the administration high in the development of the health sector.

Doctor Innocent said the priority given by Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku is worthy of commendation, saying within one year in office, the College of Nursing and Midwifery has achieved a lot in the areas of construction and employment of staff.

He said the ministry under the leadership of the Governor was able to tackle the outbreak of Lassa fever in the state.
Both Commissioners unanimously urged the citizens to give their maximum cooperation to help the government actualise the rescue agenda in the state.
