Opposition parties have once again been reminded of the sincere and genuine call by the Taraba state Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku to join hands with him and work collectively for the development and progress of the state.

The Special Adviser on Political Matters, Hon. Abubakar Bawa said this recently as part of activities marking one year in office of Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku as the Executive Governor of Taraba state.

Abubakar Bawa maintained that the era of political campaign was over and all the Governor desires from every citizen of Taraba is how best to collectively fashion out ways that people of the state can benefit from the present dispensation.

He however appealed to the opposition parties in the state to come forward with useful suggestions that would foster peace, unity and above all harmonious coexistence among the people of the state.

He emphasized the need for constructive criticism that will propel the government to be on its toes with a view to doing things that would positively impact all Tarabans regardless of political affiliation.

The SA political maintained that all the projects embarked upon by the present administration has no political colouration and posited that all the roads, water and other projects is for all Tarabans.

He tasked all to support the present administration by keying into the rescue mission in the state and explained that the present administration is one year in office when the oath of office was administered on the Governor, but effectively the administration is four months old, asserting that about eight months was spent on ligation.

Undaunted by the court cases, according to Abubakar Bawa, Governor Ishaku remained focused and determined to excel by exploring all avenues possible that will make Taraba much more better than he met it.

The Special Assistant on Political Matters said the clarion call by Governor Darius Ishaku to the people of the state during his swearing in ceremony on May 29th, 2015, “Give me peace and I will give you development,” averred that the call is actually working considering the remarkable achievements recorded within this one year.

Speaking on the large number of political appointments made by the present dispensation, Abubakar Bawa said the decision was taken in the best interest of all Tarabans taking into consideration that Taraba is a civil service state and there is the need to take governance closest to the people and the only way is to appoint more people into more political offices in order to help the present administration in sensitizing the electorates on the rescue mission of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.

Abubakar Bawa then used the opportunity to appeal to all Tarabans to support the present administration to succeed.
