As the Rescue Agenda unfolds, people at the grassroots have continued to benefit from the opportunities it provides.

Arkola The wife of the Taraba State Governor, Barr. Anna Darius Ishaku who is concerned with bequeathing productive, functional and marketable skills to the unemployed in the State flagged off a Vocational Skills Acquisition training program for the the Northern Senatorial Zone of the State.

The program commenced today at the Recreation Center in Sunkani in Ardokola Local Government Area. Speaking at the venue, the Program Manager of the Hope Afresh Foundation, Mrs. Helen Douglas who represented the Governor’s wife disclosed that the program is being effectively monitored to ensure that beneficiaries are well equipped.

She stated that Her Excellency is committed to helping the less privileged in the State, hence the use of this medium to empower the people. She requested for more prayers to enable the present administration deliver more dividends of democracy.

The Skills Acquisition training program is organized for unskilled school leavers and the unemployed. There would be training in cosmetology, tailoring, welding and motor mechanics.

The trainees would be attached with trainers for a period of six months so the apprentices can acquire the necessary skills while those for cosmetology will train for three days.

The District Head who was represented by Mr. Hamza Alli Mauro expressed his appreciation to Her Excellency for enriching the lives of his people. The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Ardocola LGA Mr. Moses Obonogwu also appreciated the effort of the Governor’s wife and pledges his support for the administration when needed.
