German Investors in Takum

The State Ministry of Works’ Office and Government Technical College both in Takum will soon undergo redesign and renovation to fit in the concept of the German Investors who are in the State to partner with the State Government.

The two areas chosen were part of the agreement reached between the State Government and the German Investors to assist the State in the areas of Technical Education and Skills Acquisition cutting across all the three Senatorial zones, and the first place of visit to kick start the agreement was Takum, which will serve as centre for the Southern zone.

In an interview with newsmen shortly after inspecting the suggested sites for the take off of the project, the leader of the German team, Christian Matschulla disclosed that the suggested sites have a lot of potentials but that a lot of work needs to be done so that it would fit the concept of the Technical Education and the Skills Acquisition Center that will bequeath  the vibrant youths skills that would make them contribute meaningfully to the development of the State.

Christian Matschulla maintained that the Germans believe in imparting their technical knowledge to people around the world and reaffirmed their determination to give Taraba State the best in terms of technical education and skills acquisition, assuring that very soon the concept of German’s hard work drive which is built on commitment, diligence and dedication will be transferred to the vibrant youths of Taraba state.

He stressed that the philosophy of less speech and more work will be the focal point of the partnership.

It would be recall that the arrival of the German Investors to the State since last week was part of the agreement reached with them when Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku visited Germany to attract investors to the State, and the understanding with the investors covers areas of technical education and skills acquisition.

Accordingly, the German investors Will establish Technical Education and Skills Acquisition Centres in the North, Central and Southern Zones and it is expected to be kick started in Takum which will be the training centre for the people of Southern Zone.

The German investors were conducted round the two facilities by the Commissioners of Education, Hon. Johannes Jigem and his counterpart from the Ministry of Works and Transport, Dr. Tafarki Agbadu Eneme.

The two are the key ministries for the commencement of the partnership in the State.
