At the TTV StudioTaraba Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has reaffirmed his commitment to reposition the State owned media houses to be vibrant in order to meet up with the peoples quest for qualitative information dissemination in the state.

This was contained in a press release signed by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sylvanus Yakubu Giwa, pointing out that, Governor Ishaku is poised to ensure all the broadcast stations in the state meet up with the stipulated deadline for migration from analogue to digital platform by June 2017.

The Press release indicates that the Governor is impressed with the ongoing test transmission from the new studio of Taraba Television Corporation and expressed his administration’s readiness to provide the station with all the necessary equipment that will enable the station meet the requisite standard in digital broadcasting.

Accordingly, the release enjoined the staff of Taraba Television Corporation to take advantage of the state-of-the-art facilities and be committed and to equally raise their prestigious vocation to an enviable standard both locally and internationally.

Similarly, the release states that, the official commissioning of the facility is in the pipeline and plans are ongoing to move the Television station to its permanent site to enhance performance and effective operations.

In furtherance of the digitization process, the press release indicates that Similar arrangement have already been concluded to commence the upgrading of Taraba State Broadcasting Service to equally kick start digital broadcasting in the state.

The release as authored by the SSA Media and Publicity underscores the importance of sufficient manpower, describing it as critical to the digitization requirements and stressed that, government is conscious of all and adequate arrangements have also been put in place for the media house not to lag behind in all facets of modern broadcasting.

Also captured in the Press Release is that, the Governor is optimistic that the Rescue Mission of his administration will avail the populace suitable platforms for constructive engagement with the Government and the wider society through the state media houses in terms of qualitative coverage of events such as news, education, entertainment, economic revolution and social development among others.
