Governor Darius Ishaku stated this yesterday at the Exco Chambers while swearing in some Commission’s Chairmen and members as well as the inauguration of Board Chairmen and Members hence the need to work collaboratively for the common good of the entire people of the State.
The Governor implored all the appointees to discharge their responsibilities with utmost sense of commitment and urgency, considering the enormous needs of the people that the present administration must strive to meet with scarce resources at its disposal and the limited time frame.
He said as members of the Rescue Team, they are supposed to come up with ideas and as well intensify efforts to ensure the success of the Rescue Agenda, emphasising the Rescue Mission is designed to better the lives of all Tarabans, particularly the desire to get the people of the State actively involve in ventures that will help improve their living conditions.
Accordingly, Governor Darius Ishaku stated he is making frantic efforts aimed at ensuring that the people of the State have access to potable drinking water as well as proper medical attention.
He further revealed that so far over 100 boreholes have been sung in places with acute water shortages, assuring that before his administration marks two years in office sufficient boreholes would been sung across the State.
The Governor charged the appointees to get a copy of the Rescue Agenda in order to acquaint themselves with the carefully outlined action plans called the Green Book or the Rescue Agenda with the view to working in consonance with it and generating ideas that will further enhance its effectiveness.
Similarly, Darius Ishaku informed the gathering that, digitisation process of Television Corporation has reached completion level while that of TSBS will soon commence.
He explained that he is determined to keep the people of the State abreast with Government policies and programmes at all times, particularly, in giving adequate publicity to the Rescue Mission of his administration.
Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku also confirmed the appointments Engr. Bryson Ahmed Ben as the substantive General Manager of Taraba Television Corporation TTV, and Engr. Theophilus Andeyarka as the General Manager of Taraba Broadcasting Service TSBS, both General Managers have been on acting capacity.
Those sworn in were the Chairman and members of Fiscal Responsibility Commission, with Mr. Benjamin Ibesu as its Chairman, while Anita Vakude, Simon Zorro and Hassan Abubakar will serve as members of the commission.
Dennis Okuma Nev was sworn in as Special Adviser and Coordinator on NEPAD while Mrs. Regular Yuguda was sworn in as the member of Taraba State House of Assembly Service Commission.
The oath of office was administered by the Deputy Chief Judge, Justice Filibus Andetur on behalf of the State Chief Judge, Justice Josephine Tuktur.
Similarly, those inaugurated as both Board Chairmen by Governor Darius Ishaku included the Chairman Taraba Television Corporation TTV, with Joshua Hassan as Chairman, while the Taraba State Broadcasting Services TSBS, has Barr. Danjuma Anyeze as its Chairman.
Also inaugurated was Hon. Isiaka Bawa as the Chairman Taraba State Rural Electrication Board, the Taraba State Tourism Board is to be chaired by Hon. Bashir Marafa while Dr. Conerlius Ali is the Chairman, Taraba State Health Services Management Board.
