Darius Ishaku stated this during his Christmas broadcast to the State saying, Christmas day is a revered day in the lives of all Christians in Taraba, Nigeria and the World at large.
He maintained that Christmas is celebrated to mark the birth of Jesus which represents the agape love that the Almighty God has for mankind aimed at guaranteeing our salvation.
He added that, Christmas teaches us the virtues of caring, sharing and sacrifice, as he admonished all Christians to show unconditional love to humanity, emphasising that Christmas also is a season for peace and peaceful coexistence among Christians and non Christians alike.
Accordingly, Darius Ishaku re-echoed the need for people of the State to embrace peace in its totality and to cohabit in mutual harmony and respect for one each other during this special and unique season.
The Governor lamented that, there are pockets of clashes in some parts of the State, particularly, central part of the State and revealed that, adequate security have been mobilised to the affected areas to restore peace and normalcy so that they too will be able to celebrate Christmas.
Governor Darius Ishaku further charged people of the State to be more vigilant and security conscious and as well report people with suspicious and questionable character to relevant security agencies and implored all Tarabans to ensure the sustenance of peace in their respective domains and called on both Christians and Muslims to coexist with one another peacefully.
