Taraba State Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has commended graduands of the National Maritime Academy for their comportment and gallantry during their training.
Gov. Ishaku said this at Takum Local Government Secretariat when graduates of the Academy paid him a courtesy call to felicitate with him during this Yuletide season.
According to the Governor, he is pleased with their performance and would have them compile their names, particularly, those that have graduated and forward them to him so that he can work on it with a view to seeing how he can assist them become reproductive members of the society.
He urge them to remain united and continue to make the State proud wherever they find themselves.
The Governor, further thanked them for identifying with the State after their programmes and praised them for having faith in the State pointing out that, the growth of the State is a collective responsibility.
Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku maintained that Taraba State belongs to all Tarabans, and his administration is poised to make life comfortable to all so that they can contribute to the development of the State.
Speaking earlier,The spokesperson of the Taraba State Association of Maritime Students told the Governor some of the challenges which they faced which hindered them not be able to attain their 18 months practicals of been on the sea and also enrolling into courses of high level due to financial constraints.
They pleaded with the Governor to assist them by ensuring that they are established so that they can in return to contribute their quota to the development of the State and country at large.
They further assured the Governor of their total support and loyalty to the State at anytime the need arises, adding that, they enjoy unity amongst themselves seeing each other as brothers and sisters from the same family.
