Taraba State Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku says he is determined to provide comfortable and decent accommodation to all categories of Civil Servants and citizens of the State.
Darius Ishaku stated this today when he met with German investors who are in the state to partner with the State Government in the areas of Health and Housing in his office today.
Governnor Darius Ishaku maintained that it his desire that Civil Servants are provided with affordable and decent accommodation before they retire from active civil service, pointing out that, the project from start to finish will be funded directly by the German Investors.
He revealed that, about 50 heaters of land have already been provided to the investors for them to commence work immediately, while explaining that the nitty gritty of the deal would be properly discussed with a view to ensuring that the interest of the beneficiaries are taken into consideration so that the payment will be done with ease.
Governor Darius Ishaku mentioned that, it is his plan that whoever joins the Civil Service in the State should be able to own a house within the span of 5 to 10 years, which will now afford the civil servants to plan their lives effectively before their retirement period reaches.
Speaking on Health, Governor Darius Ishaku said he was impressed with new innovations into health services delivery the world over, saying that, the process of providing immediate health needs of the people takes quite a while, but with the new technologies implored through fabrication of containers will definitely speed up the process of providing health facility within the shortest period.
He assured the German Investors that his administering will partner with them with a view to giving viable health service delivery to every nook and corners of the State.
The Governor lamented that most of the health facilities in the country have broken down and said with the new Innovation of prefabricated containers which will be designed, it will be cost effective and more affordable for Government to handle.
Earlier in his presentation on behalf of WESANY INTERNATIONAL CONCEPTA HOLDING GERMANY IN COLLABORATION WITH EICC COUNTRY CLINIC PROJECT, Engineer Emeka Igwe said the company is a specialist in the construction of befitting and comfortable housing estates for both Government and private organisations.
Engr. Emeka Igwe said the WESANY company have agreed to construct about 5000 housing units in the State which will be of high quality, affordable using two designs modules, Wellington A and Wellington B.
Wellington A is a three apartment and Wellington B is a two apartment.
Explaining further, Emeka Igwe disclosed that each of the two Housing units will have two thousand five hundred units semi detachment, but at construction it will have 1250 houses each, as each detachment will have two flats.
He said the entire project will be funded by the company and that further arrangements will be concluded with the State Government with a view to arriving at a workable agreement which will include cost and other modalities.
While in his presentation, the investor in charge of hospitals and clinics, Holger Krussmanh said new technologies have been introduced in the owning and management of hospitals and clinics most especially in rural areas.
He revealed that the current trend is the fabrication of containers taking into cognisance the needs of the people, explaining that, gone were the days that building of hospitals take long period before it is completed.
Holger Krussmanh maintained that containers are now being fabricated which takes shorter period to complete and designed in such a way that it will house solar powered electricity that is capable of providing water and electricity.
He called on the State Government to take advantage of the current innovations in the expanded, all encompassing and affordable health system that can reach all corners of the state.
The investor will also venture into road construction and has assured the State government that it will construct a road in the State and their money will be refunded after work is certified as worthy.
