Security Agents Siding with APC to Rig LG Polls, Says Gov. Darius.

Security agents are clearly siding with the All Progressive Congress (APC) to rig the ongoing local government polls. A source close to Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku told REPORTERS that the governor has expressed concern that the APC is in cahoots with some security personnel to scuttle the polls.

He said, ” the governor is amazed that people can attack the  Chairman of SUBEB and the Commissioner and nothing is done.

The security just watched as the state officials barely escaped with their lives after their vehicles were burnt. The governor believes the security agents are getting their briefs from somewhere else may be from the top and have come to help APC rig the election. “

Also speaking to REPORTERS, Chairman of the Taraba State Independent Electoral Commission (TASIEC), Dr. Phillip Duwe, said elections in Ibi local government has been suspended due to the violence. He said, ” we have decided to call off the polls in Ibi. But our foreign observers are happy with the conduct of the elections in other areas of the state.”
