There has been a protest staged by opposition supporters around the SIEC office asking for their votes to count today, even as declaration of final results were been awaited.
TaraVoices had monitored the protest with several youths led by a leading opposition leader from the APC, Ali Sani Kona, leading the protest. They were chanting slogans such as, “we want our votes to count”, and so on along the street leading to the commission headquarters along Ahmadu Bello Way.
However, a combined team of the police and army denied them entrance into the premises.
Meanwhile, results would soon be declared as all stakeholders remain seated at the conference room of the commission.
