Taraba state Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku today inspected the first Referral Maternity Hospital in Takum which is near completion courtesy of General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma retired to giving succour to women during childbirth.
The Referral Maternity Hospital which is located along Takum-Ussa road is funded by TY Danjuma foundation is meant to carter for the needs of women during pregnancy, childbirth and children across the state.
Speaking to Government House Press Crew shortly after going round the project, Governor Darius Ishaku appreciated General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma for his wonderful magnanimity and love for people of the state and indeed the country at large owing to many health initiatives being enjoyed in Taraba, the entire country and indeed the world over.
Darius Ishaku however expressed satisfaction with the level of work, saying that the standard and quality of work is apt and conforms with the engineering standard and requirements.
He called on the people of the state to continue to pray for the elder statesman for more strength, good health and longevity so that he will continue to do what God has strategically picked him to do for the people of the state and beyond.
The Governor revealed that in all the three hospitals undergoing renovations in the state, wards would be specifically dedicated for women and children to compliment the effort of General TY Danjuma and added that during his electioneering campaign he promised to give priority to women, most especially in the areas of pregnancy, childbirth and children health across the state.
The Referral Maternity Hospital when completed is expected to cover the entire state and beyond.
