The Governor while addressing the congregation of the Christian Reformed Church Nigeria, CRCN, Apo-Abuja, challenged leaders at all levels to always say the truth amidst myriads of problems bedevilling the Country.
Governor Darius Ishaku said that most leaders in the country are afraid to stand for truth because of fear of losing their positions. He maintained his resolve to the protection of lives and property of the citizenry, promising to initiate programs that would better the lots of the people.
In his Easter message, Reverend Yakubu Ishaya Sojon who spoke on the topic “The Blessings of the Cross”, and took his text from the book of 1 Corinthians 1: 17-18, said Christ’s death on the cross shows his love for mankind.
He tasked believers to always preach the word of God anywhere they find themselves for people to be saved.
The Reverend cautioned believers to stop moving from one church to the other seeking deliverance stating that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Wife of the Governor, Anna Ishaku, while delivering her goodwill message, prayed that the blessings of Easter should be the portion of every believer across the whole country and tasked members of the church to give their maximum support to the service of God and His servants.
Special prayers were offered to the governor, his wife and Taraba state at large as led by the Reverend of the church. The Governor was accompanied to the service by his dear wife and some of his Aides.
