Taraba State Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has presented an 18 seater Toyota Hyundai bus to the national union of Taraba state students in a brief ceremony in government house Jalingo.

He admonished the students to be responsible and ensure they play their own part in ensuring a peaceful society for all. Earlier, the spokesman of the union, comrade Shiaki Bulus Joseph informed Governor Ishaku of the unflinching support of the union to the government and explained further that the visit was not just about meeting the Governor but to assure him that the students of Taraba have formed a common front to ensure the aspirations of 2019 is actualized.
President of the union comrade Hope Daniel Vyonku remarked that since the inception of the union they have not had it so good. ‘Your Excellency, we are very grateful for your kindness and support for the youth of Taraba and we promise to support you all the way and ensure you return in 2019 and continue the good work you have started’. He added.
In his vote of thanks Rector of the state polytechnic, Mr. Daniel Mom appreciated the efforts of Governor Ishaku for making the youth of Taraba more responsible and more determined in making the most of the goodwill this administration has extended to the youths.
Medals of honor from the union were presented to the Governor, his deputy, and the Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly.
Governor Ishaku later on presented the of the bus to the rector Taraba State Polytechnic who equally handed over the keys to the President of the union comrade Hope Daniel Vyonku.
The ceremony was attended by the deputy Governor, Engineer Haruna Manu and the Speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Abel Peter Diah and the Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Emmanuel Bello and his namesake, Hon. Emmanuel George who is the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth as well as executives of the union and students.
