The Taraba State Polytechnic has finally secured its place among tertiary institutions in the country needing the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board,JAMB, cut off mark for prospective students. According to the rector of the polytechnic Dr. Daniel Mom, the feat was achieved after twenty-five years of the school’s existence.
Dr. Mom who spoke to journalists in his office described it as a huge achievement not only for the school but for the Government and people of Taraba state. He revealed that the school had in the past sold out application forms to prospective students using the analog method.
“Previously, we made announcements for the purchase of our admission forms requesting interested students to come to the school and pay but with this development, we can now proudly say, it is a huge achievement for us and the State ‘.
Dr. Mom also reiterated the commitment of the management to ensuring more courses get full accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education, NABTEC, to pave way for the introduction of more fields of study.
He urged Tarabans to take advantage of the new status of the school when applying for admission. He added that henceforth forth, all that is required of them is simply to apply through JAMB by purchasing the scratch card.
