As part of their contribution to the fight against insecurity in Taraba State, Zenith Bank Plc on Tuesday  donated 10 Toyota Hilux Vans to the State Government.

Presenting the Hilux vans fitted with security gadgets to Governor Darius Ishaku in a brief ceremony at Government House Jalingo, the Zonal Manager of the bank, Alhaji Abdusalam Hassan said the vehicles were meant to combat security challenges facing the State.

Hassan noted that the bank was also building three skills acquisition centres across the three Senatorial zones of the state as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR.

“As part of corporate social responsibility, we donated a multi-million naira two Storey building to the Taraba State University Jalingo in 2010.

“We have done a lot in the past. In 2015, we donated 10 Hilux Vans fitted with security gadgets to the Taraba State government and we are doing same today.

“We are building skills acquisition centres in Jalingo,  Bali and Takum and soon we will invite the Governor to commission the projects,” he said.

Governor Darius Ishaku in his remarks thanked Zenith Bank for their support, describing the corporate social responsibility of the bank as one of the best in the country.

“This donation is coming at a time  the vehicles are most needed to combat security challenges facing us in the State.

“The Vans would help security agencies in doing their work effectively. I also want to thank the bank for the completion of the skills acquisition center in Jalingo and Takum and I believe that soon, that of Bali will be completed.

Ishaku called on other private organizations to emulate Zenith Bank in supporting the State Government in other areas that would bring development of the State.
