The People’s Democratic Party Presidential aspirant, Ahmed Makarfi has vowed to set in motion the restructuring of the country in view of the many problems facing the nation specifically insecurity, power sharing and corruption.

Makarfi also gave the assurance that he would detach the anti corruption agencies now used by the present administration to intimidate citizens.
The aspirant stated this at the Excos chambers of the Government House Jalingo while soliciting support from the Governor and people of the state ahead of the forthcoming PDP Presidential primaries.
He saluted the courage of Governor Darius Ishaku in brokering peace within the PDP stressing that Governor Ishaku played a vital role in the PDP power tussle that saw him emerge as party chairman against Ali Modu Sheriff.
The aspirant also assured students of his resolve to create students’ loan scheme payable after they have secured jobs, an arrangement that he maintained would make government create multiple jobs.
He thanked the wife of the Governor, Anna Darius Ishaku who served meticulously as Permanent Secretary when he was governor of Kaduna State and thanked people of the State for their warm reception.
Responding, Governor Ishaku described Ahmed Maikarfi as a calm, detribalised and frank fellow that has worked relentlessly to maintain peace in the PDP.
The Governor maintained that the calmness of Maikarfi has helped in strengthening the PDP and pleaded with him and other aspirants to accept whatever would be the outcome of the primaries and place the party on a solid ground to wrestle power from the APC.
He emphasized that the PDP remains the party that has the capacity to keep up nationhood amid many problems which the present leadership has failed to keep up.
Governor Ishaku who is the Vice Chairman of the PDP National convention assured him of a fair playing ground in the party primaries.
