Senate President and People’s Democratic Party Presidential aspirant Dr. Bukola Saraki says the unity of Nigeria is supreme and must not be compromised.
Saraki stated this in Jalingo as he concluded his nationwide tour to ganner support for his Presidential campaign aspirations.
Speaking to party stalwarts inside the exco chambers of the Government House Jalingo, he reiterated his commitment to unite Nigerians if he gets the nod of the party delegates during the forthcoming PDP Presidential primaries.
‘The unity of Nigeria is sacrosanct and must not be compromised. Our country has never been as divided as it is now and the time to reunite Nigerians is now”.
He also Stressed that governing a country is a continuous business that needs youthfulness and vigour.
“It is a very serious business to govern a country like Nigeria and with my experience in the private and public sectors, I present myself to Tarabans as a credible candidate with the right credentials to unlock the huge potentials our nation possesses”.
Responding, Governor Ishaku commended the Presidential aspirant for his doggedness and courage in managing the legislative arm of the government through the stormy waters it has gone through.
He urged the aspirant to make state policing a priority if he eventually grabs the ticket of the party.
‘I appeal to you to make state police a priority so as to to protect citizens of our country. My people have heard you and I assure you that I will appeal to them to do the needful when we get to Port Harcourt” he noted.
