Governor Darius Ishaku has assured the people of Donga of his commitment to bring more development to them.

He made the declaration when he received the Gara Donga, His Royal Highness Dr. Stephen Danjuma Bayonga in Government House Jalingo.

Governor Ishaku expressed his wish to develop any Local Government Area that maintains the relative peace he has clamoured for, and added that the little they had seen was just a tip of the iceberg as more would definitely come.

He thanked the people of Donga for the support given to him during the 2015 general election and asked them to do better in 2019.

Governor Ishaku charged the people to take advantage of his administration ‘s commitment to boost dry season farming as he is ready to back them up with yielding seedlings that would attract huge profits for the farmers.

He however sounded a note of warning to all those who were out to discredit his administration by engaging in unlawful activities stressing that the government would deal decisively with them.

Earlier, the Gara Donga, His Royal Highness Dr. Stephen Danjuma Bayonga said that the people of Donga were in Jalingo for a thank you visit to Governor Ishaku for the newly constructed and commissioned electricity substation, the two Magistrate courts and the renovation of Government Science Secondary School as well as the Dauda and Kwancha Primary School.

Dr. Bayonga also thanked the Governor for the the award of contract for the construction of the Donga, Mararaba and Baissa Road project and pleaded for the grading of the Lubumga, Doniya and Rafinkada roads which are in a deplorable state.

The Royal father appreciated the government for the creation of three chiefdoms, Suntai Donga, Itchen Donga and Ikpan Donga.

He assured the Governor of the unflinching support of his subjects and promised to make sure Donga delivers come 2019.
