Governor Darius Ishaku has tasked the Yandang Community to give total loyalty and support to their paramount ruler, Haniel Banti.
The Governor made the remarks when the Yandang Community visited him at the Government House, Jalingo to express their gratitude for the creation of the Sanwi Chiefdom
He said the people now had a cause to be proud of their identity since they now have a symbol of unity that they could rely on against what was obtainable in the past.
He promised to make sure that Internally Displaced Persons from Lau Local Government Area who were seeking refuge in various locations, an ordeal orchestrated by conflicts returned home after the establishment of the Military base at Mako.
The Governor enjoined them to vote peacefully in Saturday’s Presidential election and subsequent elections.
He also thanked them for endorsing him and promised to do more for the Yangdang race if re-elected into office.
Earlier, Spokesman of the Community, Yahaya Kobiba applauded the achievements of Governor Darius Ishaku in the health, water, education and other sectors.
Kobiba maintained that the Yandang people would remain eternally grateful to Governor Darius Ishaku for the creation of the Sanwi Chiefdom.
Commenting, Chief of Sanwi, Haniel Banti who thanked the Governor for creating the Sanwi Chiefdom prayed God to uphold the Governor and take him to greater heights while assuring him of their block votes during the gubernatorial election.
