Governor Darius Ishaku has dispelled rumours making the rounds that he has refused to issue Dangote Group certificate to run the Lau Sugar Company.
The Governor debunked the claim when people of the Bakula Kwararafa Cultural Development Association paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Jalingo.
He frowned at the rumour and emphasized that necessary documents for the commencement of the Lau Sugar Company had already been signed between Government and the Dangote Group at the Government House.
Governor Darius Ishaku promised to tackle issues surrounding the Lau Tomato Company in the court presently. He assured the people living along the Lau axis of his commitment to complete the Kona-Lau road when re-elected.
The Governor told them to vote all PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections urging them to also respect their paramount ruler Tahiru Nyawo a third class chief and strive at maintaining peace in their domain.
In his remarks, National President of the Bakula Kwararafa Cultural Development Association, Cyprian James Bandawa saluted the resilience of Governor Darius Ishaku in the appointment and installation of Kuh Bakula.
The President said the act has liberated the Bakula people from two hundred and one years of oppression, deprivation and suppression.
Cyprian James pleaded with Governor Darius Ishaku to direct the Ministry of Agriculture to ease the disbursement of Agriculture loans to boost dry season rice farming in their domain in view of his rescue mission on Agriculture.
The Bakula Kwarara Cultural Development Association unanimously endorsed Governor Darius Ishaku for the second term.
Stakeholders of the Bakula Kwararafa Cultural Development Association which includes Member Representing Lau Constituency Joseph Albasu Kunini, Dean Faculty of Engineering of the Taraba State University, Nicholas Namesan Oliver, Chief Editor of the Nigeria Sunrise Newspaper, Bakoji Sukuji, NUT Chairman, Julius Voh, Kuh Bakula, Tahiru Nyawo, District head of the the Bandawa Community, Yushau Sharia and others availed themselves at the Government House.
