Governor Darius Ishaku has encouraged people of Bikwin community in Karim Lamido Local Government Area to remain united for the sake of development.

The Governor made the remarks when people of the area paid him a thank you visit at the Government House, Jalingo.

He said their fragmentation would spell doom for them encouraging Bikwin sons and daughters to be more united and give their third class Chief full loyalty.

Governor Ishaku charged them to vote wisely in the upcoming general elections and to ensure that they only vote PDP candidates.

Earlier, spokesman of the Community, Joshua Augustine said they were at the Government House to thank Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku for his far reaching rescue projects in the State.

The spokesman saluted him for the creation of districts and Chiefdom in Bikwin that has liberated them from seeming oppression.

Augustine appealed to the Governor to establish secondary schools in Lo, Gwomu and other areas including renovation of schools and provide accessible road, water, healthcare, agricultural inputs and others.

He pledged the loyalty of the Bikwin people to his re-election bid and all PDP candidates in this year’s general elections.

In his remarks, Chief of Bikwin, Nicholas Bala Sarkin Yara thanked Governor Ishaku for creating six districts and a chiefdom in his domain after failed attempts by past administrations.

The Traditional Ruler who appreciated the gesture of Governor Ishaku for the creation of a Chiefdom assured him of their full support in the general election.
