Governor Darius Ishaku has advised Tarabans to remain calm in the face of provocation from people bent on undermining the peace and corporate existence of the State.
Governor Ishaku gave this charge when his campaign train made a stop at Lau Local Government Area.
The mammoth crowd that received the Governor’s train at Mayolope carried various posters in support of the re-election bid of Governor Darius Ishaku and other candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He urged the people not to be afraid to come out and cast their votes in the forthcoming gubernatorial and State Assembly elections in order to exercise their franchise.
Governor Darius Ishaku visited areas of the Local Government ravaged by enemies of progress in the past year and promised to initiate more developmental programs for them during his second term in office.
Earlier, Member Representing Lau Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Joseph Albasu Kunini, applauded the doggedness and resilience of Governor Ishaku in tackling the incessant crisis that engulfed Lau Local Government Area.
The Majority leader urged the Governor not to panic about his re-election as the people of Lau have unanimously agreed to vote for him massively.
Commenting, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Millennium Development Goals, Yahaya Kobiba, thanked Governor Ishaku for creating a third class Chiefdom for the people of the Yandang race.
Kobiba pledged the unalloyed support of the people of Mayolope for his return to office.
Also Commenting, the Commissioner of Works and Transport, Ibrahim Hammanjulde, applauded the Governor for maintaining peace in Lau and Taraba State at large in spite of glaring challenges.
He called on the people of Lau to vote for Governor Darius Ishaku in the upcoming gubernatorial elections and all PDP candidates vying for House of Assembly seats.
