Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has promised to always support the Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board to succeed in all it’s activities.

The Governor made the pledge during the presentation of reports for 2018 Holy ilgrimage to Saudi Arabia by the Amirul Hajj, Idris Waziri at the Government House, Jalingo.

He said the huge sum of money expended on holy pilgrimages in the State was worth being spent because of the spiritual benefits it accrues to beneficiaries.

Governor Ishaku assured the Muslim community of his full support and promised to employ two casual staff of the board who were stationed in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, Amirul Hajj of the 2018 Muslims Pilgrimage, Idris Waziri, thanked Governor Darius Ishaku for the sponsorship of over three hundred pilgrims saying they made the State proud by conducting themselves in an orderly manner.

Waziri saluted Governor Ishaku’s developmental strides in the State and called on Christians and Muslim to coexist peacefully.

Commenting, Chief of Old Muri, Abdullahi Baba Ciroma appreciated Governor Ishaku for his support to the Muslim community and prayed God to reward him.

It could be recalled that last year, Governor Darius Ishaku topped the list among Governors who sponsored the highest number of pilgrims to the holy land in Saudi Arabia.
