The All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA Gubernatorial Candidate, Adamu Danbako has withdrawn from the gubernatorial race in support of Governor Darius Ishaku re-election bid.
The declaration took place at the gymn hall, Jolly Nyame stadium, Jalingo.
In a brief remark, Governor Ishaku assured people of the state of a peaceful elections as adequate measures are being taken to make sure maximum security is in place.
He thanked all APGA members mostly the gubernatorial candidate who withdrew his candidature, assuring him of victory in the governorship elections.
The Governor called on them to join him onboard despite party differences to move the state forward.
Earlier, Member Representing Wukari and Ibbi in the National Assembly, Danjuma Shiddi said the decision of APGA members to endorse Governor Ishaku was borne out of their desire in support of his peace initiatives that has brought development.
In his remarks, Chairman of APGA Taraba State Chapter Ishaya Bako charged Members of the party to come out in their large numbers to vote overwhelmingly for Governor Ishaku in Saturday Governorship election.
Bako used the platform to introduce other APGA candidates who would be contesting the state house of Assembly election on Saturday.
