Fifteen Political Parties Conceptual Candidates, CUPP, contesting this Saturday’s Governorship election have stepped down in support of Governor Darius Ishaku’s re-election.

They made the declaration when they paid a visit to Governor Darius Ishaku at the Government House, Jalingo.

Governor Darius Ishaku stated during the event that he was humbled by the support of the candidates adding that it was a moment that he would live to cherish in his lifetime.

The Governor described democracy as the best system of Governance in the world and urged politicians to ensured that all tenets of democracy are protected for the survival of the Country.

He thanked the candidates for their support for his re-election and assured them of collective victory at the polls as the voice of the people is the voice of God.

Governor Darius Ishaku promised to do more for the people of the State in his second term.

Speaking earlier, Director General of the DDI Campaign Organization, Idris Waziri, thanked the contestants for exhibiting high sense of maturity, for burying their interest for the sake of the collective development of the State.

He revealed that since 1999, the People’s Democratic party had respected set democratic rules that has enabled it to carry everybody along.

Commenting, spokesman of the candidates, Apostle Paul Bambuka, described Governor Darius Ishaku as a kind hearted fellow with the mental capacity to continue changing the fortunes of the State.

He saluted his principles and respect for democratic ethos through calm and visionary leadership that had boosted socio economic activities in the State.

At the moment sixteen political parties have so far endorsed Governor Ishaku to be re-elected for a second term.
