The Speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abel Peter Diah pleads for peace, unity, tolerance and embracement of one another so as to abolish communal and tribal crisis within the local government and state at large.

The Speaker made the statement during plenary.
Abel Peter Diah categorically stated that continues crisis and killings amongst the Fulani and Kona tribes will only bring underdevelopment and enmity in the society. He added that their is no need to fight among the two tribes.
He said that there is a strong and urgent need for our stakeholders and beyond to speak, preach peace and to call on their wards to tolerate and embrace each other for normalcy to be fully restore and added that the people that are affected by the crisis in one way or the other should not take anything personal, promising that the appropriate body will look into it all and do the needful.
For those who departed this world, the Speaker prayed for their souls to have eternal rest.
He commended the efforts the state government have so far put in place while also calling on more intensified efforts so as to bring the situation under control.
