After a review of the security situation in parts of Jalingo and Ardo Kola Local Government Areas of Taraba State which experienced crisis recently, His Excellency, Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has approved that the current curfew imposed on Jalingo town and other affected areas should now start from 9pm and end at 6am daily until further notice. This means a three-hour reduction in the time previously covered by the curfew.
Governor Ishaku also ordered a ban on the movement of Keke NAPEP in all the areas covered by the curfew between 8pm and 6pm daily until further notice.
He directed security agencies in the state to ensure strict enforcement of these new directives on security in the state.
