Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has described the death of Alhaji Umaru Bademi, father to the Adamawa state Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Fintiri who died on Sunday July 28th as a great loss.
The Governor who was accompanied by his wife Barr. Mrs. Anna Ishaku and other top government officials of Taraba State made the remarks at the Banquet Hall, Government House Yola during a condolence visit.
The governor explained that they were in Adamawa state to sympathize with Governor Umaru Fintiri on the loss of late Alhaji Umaru Badami whom he added was a father to all stating that the death of Alh. Bademi was indeed a great loss not only to the people of Adamawa State but Taraba State as well and prayed to God to grant the soul of late Alhaji Umaru Badami eternal rest.
In his response, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri thanked the Taraba State Governor and his entourage for the visit and prayed to God to reward them abundantly and grant them safe journey back to their destination.
Governor Fintiri also expressed the hope that the good relationship between Taraba and Adamawa will be maintained for the benefits of both states.
