The Executive Governor of Taraba State His Excellency Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has warned communities bordering along the Republic of Cameroon in Taraba State not to get involved in the ongoing Ambazonia freedom crisis.

The Governor who was represented by the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abel Peter Diah gave the warning at the end of the security meeting in line with the border communities on the Mambilla plateau.

He stated that what is happening in Cameroon should not spread to Nigeria.

“We want to inform all the law abiding citizens of Sardauna Local Government Area particularly those at the border communities not to get involved”.

“We are not a party to their problems, we are citizens of Nigeria so don’t let anyone deceive you by recruiting you into fighting in the Republic of Cameroon, he said.

He added that those at the border lines should be informed and stay clear of the border line and urged them to remain in Nigerian territory.

“Our security can only protect those in Nigeria but if you go outside this country to Cameroon they will not go there because that is not our country”.

The security meeting was held at Vakude, Mbamnga Constituency in Sardauna Local Government Area and was attended by the Caretaker Chairman of Sardauna Local Government, Hon. Godwil Sol, Army Captain Bakabe, District Heads of the border villages, other Traditional rulers in Sardauna Local Government, Counselors and other Security Agencies respectively.
