The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Taraba State chapter and the Muslim Council has visited Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku at his office in Government House Jalingo.
Gov. Ishaku in his remarks appreciated both councils for finding time to come felicitate and pray for him.
The governor used the visit to appreciate the entire people of Taraba for believing in him and for re-electing him with a wide margin of votes adding that he’ll never relent in his thrive on taking the state out of poverty and called on Tarabans to support the efforts of government to ensure peace in the state.
Gov. Ishaku expressed that his administration will leave an enviable legacy of dedicated service with many lives positively touched.
He yet stressed that the devil was always going around looking for people to use in destabilising the state but assured that the prayers of faithful Tarabans have always frustrated such evil plots.
He acknowledged that there are challenges but said he is hopeful that they would be overcome.
In his speech, the CAN Chairman said the visit was to felicitate with the Governor on his victory at the tribunal and to pray for him for God’s grace toward discharging his duties.
Rev. Jirapye (CAN Chairman Taraba state Chapter ) added that God had chosen Governor Ishaku to lead Taraba, therefore, no man can take a position against what God has done.
On his part, the Chairman Muslims Council said as religious leaders they only pray for leaders and urged Tarabans to accept and support the decision that Allah has made concerning Governor Ishaku.
