The Taraba state Governor, Arch. Darius Ishaku was recently honoured by NAROTMA being one of the foremost Executive Governor in the country to pioneer the Road Traffic and Motor Vehicle Administration Institutional Reforms in Nigeria.
While presenting the plaque to Governor Ishaku, the National Chairman NAROTMA stated that the Governor has obviously performed beyond average thus, had to be nominated for such recognition after a draw which placed him ahead of other contenders.
Find below outline areas which gained the Governor such prestigious recognition, having excellently performed well in such aspects:-
i. A Review of the Road Traffic Laws in Taraba state and its operational procedures.
ii. The ongoing process for the Establishment of Road Traffic Management Agency through Taraba state House of Assembly.
iii. Process of implementation for the Road Crime Control System for Security Identification of Riders with the riders card in the state, which is ongoing.
iv. The Creation of VIO volunteer unit under the Road traffic department.
v. Establishment of a one stop shop for motor Vehicle Revenue transaction in Taraba.
The event which took place today in Abuja, at the Flag-off for Naija Drivers and Riders Carnival in Nigeria/NAROTMA Award 2019, had HE Engr. Haruna Manu, Deputy Governor Taraba state represented Governor Ishaku.
