The Governor’s wife who was a book presenter stated this at a book launch at Command Guest House Banquet Hall, Kaduna state.
Barr. Anna Ishaku said that all hands must be on deck to encourage the spirit of reading culture among students in the society to have a better and well learned generation.
The governor’s wife described the book title ‘From Foundry to Courtroom’ the story of Retired Justice Stephen Haruna Makeri authored by Peter Sabo as timely.
She described retired Justice Stephen Haruna Makeri as a role model who mentored many in the Judiciary system of Kaduna state and beyond and urged young lawyers to lay their hands on the book as it will serve as a guide to them in the course of their service to the nation.
On his part, the Chairman of the occasion and former Governor of Kaduna state, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi represented by Bello Umar Kagarko described the character in the published book, Retired Justice Stephen Haruna Makeri as a good leader and urged upcoming generation to emulate him.
Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi commended the author of the book and sued for its patronage by the general public to get informed about the life of a leader worthy of emulation.
Also commenting, the book reviewer, the President, National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Justice Benedict Kanyip, represented by Justice Shedishola Adeniyi said those who have judiciously served the nation should be appreciated.
In an interview,the celebrant, Retired Justice Stephen Haruna Makeri recalled that he was brought up from a very humble family but was elevated to an exalted position in the Judiciary.
Justice Stephen Haruna Makeri urged youths to be focused in life trusting God they will reach their destinies.
